'Wellerman'은 발라드 스타일의 민요로 1970년 뉴질랜드에서

처음 발표된 노래입니다.

 

노래의 가사는 '빌리 오 티(Bily o' Tea)라는 고래잡이 배와 그 배의 참고래 사냥과,

선원들이 "웰러맨(wellerman)"이 도착하여 사치품을 가져다주기를 바라는 모습을

표현했다고 하네요.
